Come check out the new class space, make some art, try some hula hooping and share in the LOVE! Open House is at the Brickhouse Gallery at 2837 36th Street on 36th and Broadway and is FREE to all you cuties.
Summer Art n’ Hula Hoop Making Workshop
Kids ages 4-9
Join Kassandra Grossman and Cassie McCann as they bring your child a day of HULAHOOP making, art, games, water play, and pure fun in the sun for 4-9 year olds. In addition to building hoops, kids will learn a few simple tricks to share with friends and family.
Saturday July 18th and July 25th: 10am-12:30 pm
$60 per child, sibling rate $100
Early Bird Special $45, sibling rate $85*

(Sliding scale provided for families if needed)
Please bring a suit, towel, and water play shoes for your child. We will supply the water, sunscreen, supplies and FUN! *July classes have been reconfigured to fit this format. August session will resume as scheduled.
2009 Summer Schedule
Four Week Sessions for Children Ages 3 – 12
Session 1: August 15, 22, 29, September 5
Art I: Children 3-5 years old, 10-11:30am
Basic painting techniques are discussed, lines, shapes, complimentary colors, foreground/background, light & shadow, sensorial art experiments.
Art II: Children 6-8 years old, 12-1:30pm
Texture, illusion of depth, symmetry & balance, differences in mood created by color, appropriate vocabulary of art, sensorial art experiments, contour & some realistic drawing are explored.
Art III: Children 9-12 years old, 2:30-4pm
Opportunities to learn proportion, shading, positive/negative shapes, talking about historical paintings, our own art and each others, sensorial art experiments, and drawing/painting what you see.

Tuition includes art supplies, snacks, admission to the Graduation Art Show for the children, their parents, grandparents and friends. No refunds or make up classes.
Classroom Etiquette:
Please arrive on time so your child can be comfortable entering circle. Some supplies do stain so please dress your child with painting clothes and water shoes, and we strongly recommend bringing a change of clothes for the ride home.
